Docavelle is a native Mac utility for documents, media, transcripts and local workflows. This policy describes the Mac App Store edition, which is currently in preparation, and this website. Existing Folio file formats and private storage names remain compatible.

Your files and local processing

Documents, images, recordings, transcripts, local assistant conversations and speaker comparisons are processed on your Mac. Their contents are not sent to a developer-operated processing service. The app has no advertising, developer analytics or automatic clipboard monitor.

The app reads files and folders you select and stores working data in its private macOS container. This can include editable transcripts, recordings, speaker examples, signatures, downloaded models, saved workflows, previews and preferences. Saved folder permission allows later access to a folder you explicitly selected, including an enabled watched-folder workflow. You can remove permissions and disable watched folders in Settings. Removing permission does not delete originals or exported files.

Microphone recording and camera or device capture begin with your action and use the relevant macOS permission. You can change those permissions in System Settings. Transcripts and assistant output can contain sensitive information and can be inaccurate; review them before sharing.

Exports and portable projects go to the locations you select. A portable transcript project includes its recording. Anyone you give that project to can access the included content. Files managed by iCloud, a file provider, a network drive or your backup service may be copied or synchronized under that service’s own settings and policy. macOS diagnostics follow your Apple settings.

Optional model downloads

Local assistant, speech recognition and automatic speaker features require separate model files. Downloads begin when you choose to install a model. The model host and its delivery network receive normal request information, such as your IP address and the requested asset. Your document, recording, transcript, conversation and speaker-example contents are not included in those model requests. The app verifies downloads against pinned model metadata. Inference runs locally after the required models are installed.

Opening an external publisher, license or help link uses your browser and that website’s privacy policy.

Apple purchases

The Mac App Store edition uses Apple StoreKit for its trial and version purchase. Apple handles the Apple Account, payment, purchase confirmation and restore process. Docavelle uses verified product identifiers, transaction dates and revocation information to determine access, and stores local access-check state. It does not receive your payment-card details. This edition does not use external license-key activation or a Lemon Squeezy checkout.

The planned 30-day trial starts only after an explicit Apple trial transaction. It does not renew or automatically charge at the end. A full version purchase is optional. Final availability and localized pricing will be shown through Apple before purchase.

Copying older Folio data

Legacy migration is an explicit, selective copy from the old Folio support folder you choose. It preserves originals and does not overwrite different existing library files. Supported media references can be updated to verified included copies; external media and folders may need relinking. Preferences, old licenses, watch configuration, activity and saved folder permissions are not transferred. Migration does not upload data or activate a purchase.

Removing local data

Use the app’s library and model controls to remove items you no longer need. Review exported files and backups separately. Removing the app alone may leave its container or exported files; macOS and your backup provider control those locations. Apple’s purchase record is separate from your local documents and models.
